Senior Controls Systems Analyst
Practical Solutions has a Materials Handling client
that requires an experienced Controls Engineer to concept, design, and
layout Material handling systems. This person needs to assist in the
sales and proposal efforts as well as mentor junior engineers in control
system theory. This is a project leadership position and requires a
team leader that has excellent people skills as well as technical skills.
The Controls Systems Analyst will work on automated
warehousing projects that could include Warehouse WMS, Warehouse Control
Systems and all other software and controls related aspects for automated
warehouse projects. Knowledge of WMS is preferred. Experience with
software warehouse automation with Warehouse Control Systems and PLCs is
required for this position.
Requirements:
This position will require someone very
knowledgeable with working with new and existing complex automated controls
systems to identify/correct system issues to keep our customer systems
operational and at their peak performance.
Sales – Work with sales Managers and Systems
Development (data analysis and design engineering) by recommending systems
solutions, pricing the software and document the proposed customer processes
for the quoted systems.

Senior CONTROLS ENGINEER - Material Handling Systems
Leading
manufacturer of material handling equipment is looking to hire a PLC
Programmer / Sr. CONTROLS ENGINEER. this position is responsible for
commissioning new installations of conveying and sortation systems. This is
a "hands on" position requiring the ability to understand and trouble shoot
the electro-mechanical aspects ( not just a programmer sitting behind a PC).
In addition you will be responsible for communicating customer expectations
and provide hot line support.
Background requirements:
o 3 plus years of controls/electrical engineering experience.
o BS degree in engineering preferred (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial)
Location:
o Ideal location for this position would be New Jersey, but would consider
anyone located near a major airport.

Key
Accountabilities:

Field Service Engineer
Coordinate the tactical activities of Customer Service Department.
Provides in-house and on-site support for Client's customer base. This
includes after-hours "On-Call" duties.
MAIN DUTIES/TASKS:
 | Position oversees technical installation,
upgrades, maintenance and repairs to MPEG2, DVB, and ATSC broadcast
systems for Americas region, including 24/7 on-call coverage for
technical assistance and trouble shooting with customers. |
 | Serves as the direct maintenance liaison for
clients. Responds via phone and on-site to customer calls and complaints
regarding technical issues. Maintains records relating to technical
repair projects and services provided. |
 | Provides 24/7 day-to-day technical assistance,
support and trouble shooting via the telephone with other CS Engineers. |
 | Serves as a primary corporate contact for specific
customer matters related to maintenance support. |
 | Maintains Client's Customer Service reputation and
status within the broadcast industry by testing and reviewing the
pre-staging, re-installation and/or upgrades of existing systems. |
 | Provides after hours customer technical support on
a rotating basis (24x7 support). |
 | Assists in the pre-stage and installation of new
systems. This requires the ability to lift and carry 50 pounds. |
 | Travels to customer facilities when required.
Estimated travel is 50%+. |
REQUIRED SKILLS:
 | Bachelor's Degree/foreign degree equivalent in
Electrical Engineering, and a minimum of 5 years of electronics
experience in the video broadcast industry required. |
 | Experience must include work with MPEG-2/DVB
systems design, installation, configuration and testing of end-to-end
digital video delivery systems such as: Direct-To-Home TV delivery
systems, Cable Headends, and Television Stations. |
